Questions donors ask.
Is my donation secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by Razorpay over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your card, UPI or netbanking details, only a confirmation that your gift came through.
Do I get a tax receipt?
Yes. Pledge A Smile is registered under 12A and 80G, so your donation is tax-deductible in India: 50% of the gift is deductible from your taxable income. We need your PAN to issue the certificate, whatever the amount, and we’ll email your 80G receipt.
Can I donate from outside India?
Not yet through this page. Our application to accept foreign contributions (FCRA) is still pending, so we cannot take donations from outside India here. If you are giving from abroad, email [email protected] and we will help.
Can I sponsor a specific drive?
Yes: rations through Project Seva, school kits through Project Muskaan, or winter warmth through Project Raahat. Tell us on sponsor a drive and we will tag your gift and share the photos.
